Common questions
Clear answers about research, documents, translation and responsible use.
NyayStack is a web workspace for Indian advocates and litigation teams to research cases, organize matter documents, review authorities and prepare legal drafts.
NyayStack is organized around legal matters and litigation workflows. It can use authorized matter context and connected legal sources, and it shows source and verification limitations for lawyer review.
Ask or Research can identify relevant case names and search connected legal sources, including Indian Kanoon where configured. Results show available source details so a lawyer can open and review the judgment.
Search results depend on the wording of the question, case-name identification and coverage of connected sources. Try alternate legal terms, the court, date or citation, and verify important authorities directly in the judgment.
You can ask NyayStack to translate a judgment or supplied legal text into Hindi. Long judgments may take time and depend on the source text being available. Treat the translation as a working aid and compare it with the original before relying on it.
Yes. Add supported documents to a matter and use Ask to analyse their text in matter context. Document access follows workspace permissions, and extracted facts should be checked against the record.
The workspace accepts PDF, Word documents, plain text, Markdown and common JPG or PNG image files where document upload is available. Check extracted text against the original, especially for scanned or low-quality pages.
NyayStack can check citations against available legal sources and show verification limitations. A verification label is not a substitute for reading the judgment and checking later treatment.
It can prepare working legal drafts using available matter context and research. Missing facts should be confirmed, authorities reviewed, and every draft settled by counsel before use or filing.
Yes. It is a responsive web app and can be added to an iPhone Home Screen from Safari. No Apple Developer account or App Store download is required. See installation steps.
No. It is a legal work assistant, not a substitute for legal advice or professional judgment. Lawyers remain responsible for research, strategy, factual accuracy and filed documents.
Matter access is governed by workspace permissions. When AI analysis is used, relevant text may be sent to the configured AI provider to answer the request. Review the About page and workspace settings before adding sensitive material.
